SCHOOL VISITS

Here at the Music Central we want to inspire and influence young musicians and bring a positive change to your school community. With support from the AMEB and Rockschool our Concerts and Workshops are designed to entertain, educate and equip students who wish to start a new instrument or would like to develop their gift under the supervision of professional musicians.

KICK START CONCERTS

Spark your students’ interest in learning a new instrument or starting singing lessons with our action-packed concert, which we’ll bring to your school.

Our team of professional musicians offers a dynamic music presentation that will give students a taste of how fun music lessons can be and where our After School Workshop will lead them.

Lasting between 10-20 minutes, our concert will work perfectly in a school assembly or for a short class excursion. We play a few popular songs that involve plenty of student and teacher participation, and end with a short demonstration on each instrument.

We encourage your own instrumental and vocal teachers to be involved too, as the Kickstart Concert is designed to help grow your teaching rosters.*

Costs:
Booking fees for Kickstart Visits start from only $185.
Prices vary depending on staffing and equipment needs.

* If your school needs assistance with contracting teachers Music Central is here to help. Please call our offices to find out more about our private instrumental, vocal and music technology teachers.

MUSIC WORKSHOPS

Our Music Workshops, offered during and after school hours, are much more than just a class. Based on our Holiday Music camps, Workshops involve both performance and study of modern music. Our action-packed course develops confidence and encourages students to apply their skills in a fun and personal environment. Built on a foundation of popular anthems and chart hits, our course helps students understand the “team sport” mentality behind ensemble playing and shows them how to lead and support other team players.

Our team of teachers have created four action-packed after school music workshops for schools:

OUR BENEFITS

Professional Musicians

We understand the need for high-quality music in schools.

Workshops

Our project-based workshops will compliment your existing music programmes and cover many of the skills in the new National Curriculum.

All Musical Abilities

Children can participate in our inclusive workshops, whatever their level of ability. We teach beginner, intermediate or advanced musicians in all year groups.

Performance Based Music

Our experience shows that students who play in a band develop an interest to learn other areas of music including technical skills, music theory and music history. Performance based music lessons increase motivation, boost creativity, create team spirit, help overcome inhibitions, promote healthy competition, enhance social development and boost self-confidence!
