Platform One is a band mentoring programme where students can meet weekly to practice in their own band under the supervision of one of our qualified Music Directors. Based on the huge success of our Holiday Music Camps, Weekend Band Seesions is for any musician who wants to create, perform and hang out with friends in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
WEEKEND BAND SESSIONS
Whats it all about?
- Unravelling a new song and discovering how the songwriter and producers have recorded it
- Filming a Music Video with help from a partnering “Young Directors” video school
- Capturing a band style and shooting a band photoshoot
- Connecting with fans and inviting them to your event
- Preparing for a performance or local “Battle of the Bands”
- Creating new friendships and memories along the way

Rates
To ensure smooth operation and that students and parents are committed to band rehearsals we require that sessions are booked in term-by-term periods.
Band membership is invoiced prior to the start of the term.
10 x 1.5hr sessions is only $330. ($33 per session)
Trial Session
Want to come for a trial session before signing up? Trials are free! We encourage students to commit to the full term to get the most out of being in the band. If you can not commit to the term students are more than welcome to join on a casual level. Drop-in rate is $38 per session.
How much Experience do you need?
Platform One is not exclusive. If you have been playing for roughly a year you should be ready to join a Platform One band. We want every student of every age to have the chance to be in a band not only because its fun but its such a fast and effective way to learn your instrument.
Is Sheet Music Provided?
Yes! We provide sheet music but may ask on occasion for you to print something out at home. All sheet music is kept in a dedicated “Charts Folder” that you are asked to bring to rehearsal every week.
Do I need my own Instrument?
Drums, keyboards, guitar amplifiers and microphones are all provided by Bush Studios. We ask that guitarists bring their own guitar, tuner and leads. Drummers, don’t forget your sticks!
Ear Protection?
Music can be pretty loud. We recommend that you buy a pair of earplugs to protect your ears! You can buy your own professional music earplugs online from ALPINE EARPLUGS for about $25.00. Otherwise, you can buy some cheap disposable ones from the studios or a DIY store for about $3.00.
