Charlene Ho – Piano Lessons

Good day! I am Charlene and I provide private piano lessons. I am originally from Singapore, currently doing my undergraduate in Speech Pathology at Curtin University. I have completed my ABRSM Grade 8 Piano practical with Merit, and ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory. Also, I have done Higher Music at the Singapore-Cambridge ‘O’ Levels Examination and graduated as a performance major.

Despite my age, I have over 10 years of playing experience. Growing up, music has always been a big part of my life and I can barely remember a time without it. The passion and love I have is what kept me going as I balanced academics, social life and my music pursuits. I first started teaching piano in my gap year prior to university. I gave both private and group tuition for piano practical and music theory.

I have worked with young children and adolescents, and have prepared students for the ABRSM examination. My teaching methodology is student-centred with strong emphasis on fulfilment and enjoyment. I love getting to know my students as unique individuals and I believe that music lessons should be tailored to suit the needs and goals of each student for a more effective and enjoyable experience. I am an enthusiastic and friendly tutor who puts student welfare as a priority and I would be honoured to guide you as you embark on your music journey with me!
