Kieran Ridgway – Guitar Lessons

Hello both Parents and Students. My name is Kieran and I am offering guitar lessons and beginner Piano lessons in your home.  I centre myself around the Acoustic Guitar however I am comfortable with the Electric Guitar as well.

As a Musician, I have a passion for music which thrives me as a musician to push the depths of music to see what is possible. Since I was at school I discovered that I had an enjoyment for teaching. Whether it is teaching music or how to use a software. I just loved to teach… a couple of years ago my father completed a university degree and I was the first to dive in and teach him how to use the computer.

I am currently studying Bachelor of Education (Secondary) Majoring in Music at WAAPA! Whilst I am studying my Bachelor Degree; I am also the front-man of a 70’s Rock ‘N’ Roll influenced original band which have 3 official record releases. I have studied certificate 2, certificate 3, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Musical Industry Performance at Central Institute of Technology at Leederville as well.

I also have been helping out at Ballajura Community College in the music department with the Concert Band which involved conducting and organising the students.

In my lessons, I will teach the fundamentals of music such as song-writing, Improvising, Rhythm, the instrument itself and more! Each lesson will be hand-crafted with many engaging hands-on activities.

As a Teacher, I enjoy the journey in which each student takes and the accomplishments made. The sight of relief and understanding when they overcome a difficult challenge. If a student discovers a challenge, I thrive in discovering a way that best suits them to overcome this challenge.
